Stupid Public Transport

As always the public transport has not improved since SBS (Stupid Bus Service) took over. The problems are still the same..... long waiting time, jerking of the buses by those jerks, overcrowding like sardines, aircon hot like sardines, etc. No wonder more people are buying cars and less people are taking the public transport. I am actually pissed because I have to rely on those stupid buses and MRTs, buy a car. I can't even afford to pay for the driving lessons let alone a car. That is why until now I am among the morons without a driving licence. It is driving me nuts. Geylang here I come for the nuts.

When can the Spurs spur on?

It is frustrating that Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club is the perennial underachievers. Ever since the inception of the English Premier League, only Manchester United, Arsenal & Chelsea have won the championship. When is the Spurs turn? Maybe not in my life time. Well at least Liverpool also did not get. I am sure this year will be between Chelsea & Man U. Arsenal will be the dark horse. Frankly I am pessimistic about Spurs being champions. Even when they have Glenn Hoddle, Chris Waddle, Jurgen Klinsman, Ossie Ardiles, etc they have always been underachievers. But why can't they get a world class manager like Jose Morinho and players like Fabregas? If they can steal our Sol Campbell, we also can snatch their gem. Harry Rednapp is a good coach but not great. Just like the spurs players. Robbie Keane & Jermaine Defoe are good against the likes of Sunderland or Birmingham. But against Manchester City or Aston Villa? No chance. Currently they are in 4th place. I am savouring the moment while it last as they will probably drop to a mediocre top 6 at most. My prediction in ascending order: Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspurs.

Singapore idol or idle?

I am extremely disappointed with the previous 2 Singapore Idol seasons that this time I am going to give the lastest season a miss. Our singing talents seem to be missing. If not how can Sylvester Sim be the runner-up of the 1st season? His singing is so awful. It is pathetic he is plying his trade in Dragonfly rather than a recording artist. Everytime he will sing the same songs and his singing has still not improved since his idol days.

How on earth can Hady win the 2nd season when Jonathan was obviously better. Is it because our Chinese population is dwindling and other races going up and up. It is natural we should be rooting for our own race but provided he or she is worthy of our support. Or maybe we were stingy to vote for the better contestant.

Can Money Buy Success?

Most people will assume that money can buy instant success. However there are so many rich people who become bankrupts overnight not because they are not rich enough but rather due to poor judgement, bad decision and greed. Of course bad luck too. If a person can be at the right place at the right time with the right amount of money and luck, he or she will become richer and more successful. Somehow this takes years of hard work and of couse luck. People like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet do not become rich overnight. After years of hard work, right decision and good luck, they are where they are today.

Football clubs like Manchester United has taken years of hard work to be so successful today. Even Chelsea has always been consistent though it only broke into the top 4 much more recently especially after the Roman era. But they had spent money wisely to be successful. The same cannot be said of Newcastle and even Tottenham Hotspur. They had spent money on the wrong players and managers. Other sports have proven that money can buy success. Even in our daily lives, money breeds success. The rich gets richer and poor gets poorer. This is the meaning of life. Some make money to stay alive. While others make more money to get a life.

I hope today I will win $1.5m and I will then know if indeed money breeds success and the rich gets richer. For sure I know I won't be poorer with $1.5m (if I spend the money wisely and do not have bad luck).

I simply don't understand why some unfaithful freaks continue to be so lucky while me so unlucky......

I have always succumbed to temptations even when I was married. Now I am paying for my sins. I wonder when I can stop paying.

My Long Lost Friend (Love)

Yesterday finally I managed to locate my long lost friend in the facebook. Actually she was my girlfriend when I was still in my late teens in the late 80s. Somehow we drifted apart for a while and lost touch. though we did not break off officially. Over the years I had wanted to find out how is she. But I had lost her contact number. Also at that time, we were not in the internet age and there is no facebook. So it was hard to find somebody once you have lost contact.

I had found out that she had asked somebody to pass me a letter asking me to wait at the Orchard MRT. But I did not go as I did not receive that letter. So all these years she had thought I was heartless. I know I had broken her heart.

Imagine those years we have to resort to letter writing to communicate. If at that time if handphones were invented, she could have smsed me instead of giving me a letter through her friend.

Well life has to move on. I am happy that she is no longer angry with me and we are now able to sms each other. I am now a divorcee and I am glad that she is happily married with 2 children. I guess it was a blessing in disguise that we are not together as she has found somebody better than me.

Therefore I urge all those who are heart broken because of failed relationships or some heartless creatures, do not despair as that someone better will come along your way.

If you love somebody, set him or her free if she or he does not love you anymore. Afterall you deserve somebody who loves you.

Do not break other's hearts if not retributions will come your way. I am a good example. At 41, my miss right is still somewhere out there and I will probably never be able to find her till i bite the dust.

Blog why

Frankly I also don't know why did I create a blog since I know there will not be a single Earthling or even Martian who will be interested to read my blog. Perhaps my head got blocked so I just don't know what I am doing. Or perhaps I am still dreaming that someday somehow someone will read my blog. Perhaps that day will come when I finally bite the dust. Unless of course I am a celebrity, politician, serial killer, banker or that guy who sings worse than William Hung. Anyway who cares if nobody goes to my blog. There will always be somebody who will appreciate my blog and that person is me. Okay then I will put my thoughts, frustrations, dreams, regrets, confessions, etc in my blog.

Where are the bloody buses?

Frankly I doubt anybody who can afford to own a car & pay all those ERP, parking, petrol charges, etc etc etc will seriously want to switch to the public transport. Waiting for the buses which usually take long long to come cannot prolong your life as you will have heart attack and blood vessels burst in time to come due to the agony and stress of waiting long long for the buses to come.

Oh where is the money? So I can buy a car fast fast.

STUPID BUS DRIVERS

I simply don't understand why SBS calls their drivers captains. As captains, they should ensure the comfort of their passengers. But the bus is either too cold or hot. Too early or late. Everytime they will drive so slow that even the bicycles can go faster than them. They also like to jerk the stupid buses so much that I feel stupid myself.... why can't I afford to buy a car? The reason is simply simple...cos I was stupid and didn't know how to make money. So now I have no choice but to depend on the stupid buses and the drivers.

It is strange that there are so many people chasing the impossible dream... On hindsight if there are no silly people like us, there are not many who gets richer & richer while there are those who go poorer & poorer.. Well I wish there is somebody out there who has really won the $1.5m and can share his or her experience.. Hey don't worry nobody is going to borrow from you.
